Our friends, Bobby and Emma, are on a flight to Germany at this very moment. They left their french bulldog, Tonks, in our care for a couple of weeks. Hilariously, she comes with more instructions and accessories than any human infant and/or child that has ever been left in my care.

The Document: I greatly appreciate the fact that these instructions are typed. I’ll be honest, when people leave me instructions for child or pet care that are written in old-lady cursive on a piece of notebook paper that looks like it’s from the 1970’s I don’t even try to read them. I did read these, however, and even more impressive than the length is the fact that Emma recited some sections almost verbatim during the oral presentation last night. Nicely done, Emma. Nicely done. (See what I did there? Austen allusion, anyone? Anyone?)

Here she is assisting in putting away the groceries. Her main contribution was to try to chew on an old onion.
ah yes. i told you i was...little stressed…tonks
